Nicole Warne

She’s a successful digital entrepreneur and consultant named on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list and Business of Fashion’s BoF 500, but Nicole Warne counts her blessings, too. “For me, in the moment means never taking anything for granted because nothing happens the same way twice.” Mother to 10-month-old daughter Sakura Peach, she’s also a global ambassador for Adopt Change, which works to provide stable and nurturing upbringings for vulnerable children.

Tom Derickx

“Every time I’m playing the guitar, producing or writing I feel in the moment,” says former AFL footballer turned musician, DJ, sometime tradie and R U OK? Day ambassador Tom Derickx.

Hayden Quinn

He’s a TV host, podcaster, celebrated cook and author with a past life as a lifeguard with a marine biology degree. Unsurprisingly, Hayden Quinn doesn’t often slow down. “Stillness. That’s quite rare for me,” he laughs.

Victoria Lee

“Going home, it’s always about forgetting everything else and just being there, in the moment, with my family.” Despite her humble upbringing in the country NSW town of Narrandera, Victoria Lee is one of Australia’s most successful models – and a longtime member of the David Jones family. Also a devout environmentalist, she’s working as a partner for the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and as an ambassador for ocean conservation organisation, Parley.

AJE shirt and skirt, CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN shoes, available at Elizabeth Street.

Lucy Feagins

Though you’d have to wonder where she finds the time while running Australia’s most popular design blog, The Design Files, Lucy Feagins values being connected when it matters most. “To my friends, family and my daughter. It’s about being truly present,” she says.

Eleanor Pendleton

Channelling her beauty editor expertise into the founding of online publication Gritty Pretty, Eleanor Pendleton has found a steadfast social media following through her relaxed sense of beauty and style. In 2020, she became mother to Banjo Wilde. “I’ve never felt more in the moment than that day!”

CALIBRE jacket and pants, ANTHONY SQUIRES polo, coming soon.

Adam Goodes

AFL legend and 2014 Australian of the Year, Adam Goodes is a co-founder of the GO Foundation, empowering youth through education, and works with both the Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation and David Jones in striving towards reconciliation. Father to Adelaide, two in June, he reminisces, “The phrase in the moment reminds me of watching my wife walk down the aisle.”

Cameron Stephens

“To live in the moment is to have fun,” muses model on-the-rise Cameron Stephens. “And not think about the future too much.” Of course, hers looks awfully bright. Having made her runway debut at Australian Fashion Week in April 2019, she has already appeared on several magazine covers, and in the pages of Harper’s BAZAAR, ELLE and of course JONES.
