And the winners are…

The people have spoken

Afterpay People’s Choice Award – Fragrance

An icon for a reason: Chanel N°5 Eau de Parfum Spray is this year’s People’s Choice winner for fragrance. And our judges love it too: “There is a reason Chanel N°5 remains iconic even 101 years after it was created. At the heart of it is ylang-ylang harvested from Madagascar and Mayotte, May rose, a bloom that only flowers for three weeks a year, and jasmine from Grasse. N°5 is the epitome of classic,” says Eleanor Pendleton.

Afterpay People’s Choice Award Hair and Make-Up

According to Philippa Moroney, editor-in-chief of JONES, the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer is “a game changer. My hair has never felt so healthy and shiny. An honourable mention goes out to the wide tooth comb attachment, too.”

Afterpay People’s Choice Award Skincare

For the second year in a row, Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair proves itself as a cannot-live-without formula in the People’s Choice category. A tip from our judges: “I love mixing ANR with my liquid foundation. I always receive so many compliments,” shares Diandra Politano.

The make-up kit heroes

Lancôme Lash Idôle Mascara. Flavedo & Albedo Dew Tint. Clarins Lip Comfort Oil. Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation.

Miracle-Working Mascara

A game-changing wand with 125 different bristle sizes and 360 micro-bristles, Lancôme Lash Idôle Mascara counts Eleanor Pendleton as a fan. “When applying mascara, what can often be the trickiest part to tackle are the tiny inner corner lashes – but this mascara makes it much easier to coat them from root to tip. It’s perfect for anyone with short, straight lashes,” she shares.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation.

Flawless Foundation

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is “a cult favourite and a forever staple in my kit,” according to hair and make-up artist Max May. “This is one of the most versatile and wearable foundations on the market.” A worthy winner for creating a flawless base.

Champion for Change

A beautiful formula with a beautiful brand story, Flavedo & Albedo Dew Tint is here to change your make-up bag forever. “For a beauty company to strip away plastic at all levels is incredible. They source sustainable aluminium for packaging, work with suppliers to remove plastic from the supply chain and use sustainable shipping packaging, and they haven’t missed a beat,” shares Jessie Whittaker.

Most-Loved Lipstick

Make-up artist Nigel Stanislaus sings the praises of Clarins Lip Comfort Oil. “This lip oil is super nourishing because of the added jojoba and hazelnut oil. Bonus: it feels light on your lips, a barely-there sensation. My lips feel so soft and beautiful after use.”

The luxury fragrances worth coveting

Tom Ford Oud Wood Deodorant Stick. Maison Balzac La Rose Candle. Penhaligon’s Duchess Rose.

Hall of Fame Fragrance

“I’m a big fan of the fresh, flowery notes that are warmed with vanilla. It’s a modern classic – Chanel’s LBD of the fragrance world,” says Philippa Moroney.

Fragrance to Treasure

“The Coveted Duchess Rose is like a classic storybook character. It’s so elegant and delicate, with a soft sweetness to it that makes it subtly feminine. And the woody rose is so romantic and not too strong,” Diandra Politano shares about Penhaligon’s Duchess Rose, her winning pick for the Fragrance to Treasure category.

Men’s MVP

Nigel Stanislaus loves the Tom Ford Oud Wood Deodorant Stick because it’s “a hardworking deodorant that lasts all day, feels light and smells fresh. It’s easy to wash off, too.”

Best Home Fragrance

“What’s better than the gentle scent of rose wafting through your home? This candle is subtle and gorgeous,” Philippa Moroney tells us about the winner for Best Home Fragrance, Maison Balzac La Rose Candle.

The cult skin saviours to invest in

Serum for Great Skin

The winner of more than one accolade, Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex is loved by many. “This serum lives up to the hype. A good dose of hydrating hyaluronic acid plus peptides to firm skin had my skin feeling hydrated and tight in the morning. I also like that it’s oil-free, so it’s great for all skin types, and it’s hydrating but won’t clog pores,” shares Ingrid Seaburn.

Trailblazing Beauty

For Philippa Moroney, U Beauty The Barrier Bioactive Treatment “is like a deep sleep for your skin. Use it two to three times a week for a total skin reset.”

Rationale #1 The Serum.

Best in Australian Beauty

“Rationale #1 The Serum is one of my all-time favourite serums. I can’t start my morning regimen without it,” shares Diandra Politano. “It melts into the skin, leaving a gorgeous, healthy and dewy glow. Backed by extensive research, it provides the skin with essential B-group vitamins, which promises long-term skin clarity and calmness. It’s a cult favourite among my clientele and staff,” she adds.

Best in SPF

We all know how important using SPF is,
but not all sunscreens are made equal. Ultraceuticals Ultra UV Protective Daily Moisturiser SPF50 protects the skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays to help reduce the signs of premature skin ageing, while offering hydration from shea butter, vitamin B5 and vitamin B3.

The luxury skincare heroes

Anti-Ageing Skin Essential

According to Jessie Whittaker, La Prairie Skin Caviar Nighttime Oil left her “skin looking hydrated and feeling alive. The ingredient list is beyond amazing, containing all of my favourite extracts and oils and you can’t beat the caviar extract. It’s the ultimate nighttime oil.”

Hydration Hero

For Nigel Stanislaus, the La Prairie White Caviar Crème Extraordinaire “is amazing to boost tired-looking, dry skin. The formula works to reduce dullness, and helps to lift the surface of your complexion. My face glows and radiates after two weeks of use.”

JONES Editor’s Pick

A crowd favourite and editor’s must-have, SK-II Facial Treatment Essence continues to reign supreme. I’ve always been a bit of a skincare minimalist so I think carefully before adding an extra step to my routine. But I’ve fully embraced the essence. I use this after cleansing and before my serums and find it really boosts hydration,” shares Philippa Moroney.

Holy Grail Eye Product

There’s a reason we come back to this eye cream time and time again – and Eleanor Pendleton has used it for years. “It’s deeply nourishing, infused with Miracle Broth (fermented sea kelp that’s sustainably harvested) and rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to target dark circles, fine lines and reduce puffiness. Plus the applicator is soothing on the skin,” she shares.

The hair and wellness nust-haves

Hair Hero

Tame your tresses with Sisley Hair Rituel La Crème 230. “After just one use of this hair moisturiser, I was sold. My hair felt instantly silky with next to no flyaways, and best of all, no sign of grease in the days to follow,” says Jessie Whittaker.

Best in Inner Health

With a powerful blend of natural greens and skin-supporting ingredients in a convenient, bioavailable capsule, WelleCo The Super Skin Elixir is the ultimate glow-giver from the inside, out.
