Being Human Collection

The Being Human series features four stories that follow the journey of interconnected characters, illuminating the different ways we experience our shared struggle of the human condition. 

• The Lost Sun focuses on the importance of valued living. 
• The Flower in the Pocket focuses on how pain can turn into suffering. 
• The Unwanted Friend focuses on the experience of thinking. 
• The Dragonfly in the Haze focuses on our increasing disconnection with the physical world, including our growing disconnect with each other.

All four books use metaphor to explore the innate challenges of human psychology. Based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) teachings, the stories focus on the importance of developing psychological flexibility to help us deal with life's challenges.

Each book can be read in one sitting and each offers a simple, yet powerful, take away. Each book can therefore stand alone. However, when all books are read together, we begin to understand that we never really know what is going on for other people ¿ their own story ¿ underneath their behaviour.

The full series forms the complete Being Human Method. This method helps us to be aware of our humanness and reconnect to our beingness ¿ in moments throughout our day ¿ allowing for meaning and purpose in our lives, and meaningful connection with others.
