The image of His Majesty chosen for this Coronation Edition was taken at The Highland Games near the Royal Family's Scottish home, Balmoral Castle on Royal Deeside.Prior to his ascension to the throne, King Charles was known as the Duke of Rothesay whilst in Scotland and is well known for his long association with Scotland. He was educated at Gordonstoun School, 20 miles from Walker's Aberlour HQ, and spends most summers at his holiday home Birkhall on the Balmoral Estate.In this image, King Charles wears a traditional tartan kilt as well as striped tie of the Gordon Highlanders regiment of the British Army. His Majesty was the last Colonel-in-Chief of the regiment before it merged with the Queen's Own Highlanders.Walker's Shortbread, a family-owned business, opened their first ever bakery in 1898 and continue to faithfully use the same original recipe and ingredients today.
