Granny Ida made many relishes, but it was her Ripe Tomato Relish that became her signature. Brought along as gifts or just an offering for the table, it was not unusual for an entire jar to be finished in a sitting. We think she enjoyed making it as much as she did eating it.

Rich in tomato flavour and colour, its sweetness comes from vine ripened local tomatoes, offset by a careful balance of spices and vinegar.
