On a stunning granite bolder strewn landscape north of Lancefield in the northern comer of Macedon Ranges GI Llew Knight has been quietly producing some of Victorias best Reisling and Shiraz. Originally planted in the 1970 this is also one of the oldest vineyards in the region, now 12 hectares in size Llew has continued the pioneering spirit of his parents with new planting of Cabernet Franc, Tempranillo and Gruner Veltliner. KNIGHTS GRANITE HILLS

Aged release. A slight green-straw hue and a very good colour for its age. Its showing no signs of slowing down soon, thanks to the acidity across the fine palate. There are still lively lime juice and zest flavours dallying with the tertiary elements - a hint of toastiness and lime marmalade. (95) JANE FAULKNER, 2022
