Louis Roederer remains one of the very few remaining family owned Houses in Champagne with 7th generation Frederic Rouzaud at the helm. Louis Roederer farm 65 Ha of their Domaine vineyards under a biodynamic and organic regime as part of what Chef de Cave Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon says is a work in progress. In 2012 Louis Roederer became the largest biodynamic producer in Champagne.

Colour
Golden yellow hue flecked with green.

Nose
Intense aromas of juicy, ripe fruit such as vineyard peach and candied lemon combined with toasty notes and hazelnut.

Palate
Ample and light on entry to the palate. Ample, thanks to its sweet, creamy, almost spherical texture that seductively wraps around the mouth, coating the palate; light, due to its elegant, saline freshness that stretches the wine giving it a smooth, delicate and airy mouthfeel.

Food Pairing Notes
Oysters, seafood fresh from the sea, smoked salmon or gravlax.
