PROFILE
The tiny village of Watervale (population 246), nestled in South Australia’s Clare Valley, is renowned for the quality of its Riesling. Our Watervale Riesling is picked from a special part of the Florita vineyard in Watervale. This famous Riesling vineyard usually achieves full ripeness, with high natural acid levels.

Wine has been flowing in the Clare Valley since 1851 and is an integral part of the culture. It is one of Australia’s most prestigious premium wine regions, most famous for its Riesling and Shiraz. A small area, accounting for less than 1.5% of Australia’s total wine production.

With its beautiful, rolling hills, ideal winter rainfall and Mediterranean climate, the Clare Valley carries a unique history and winemaking heritage.

TASTING NOTES
Colour This wine is a pale straw colour in the glass.

Nose The nose has lifted notes of lemon, orange blossom and fragrant, floral musk.

Palate The wine is driven by a powerful depth of flavour; lemon, blood orange and grapefruit with classic Watervale musk. Its clean line of acidity gives it length and drive to the generous offerings of flavour. The wine finishes with a gentle touch of mineral texture to round out a mouth-watering, classic Watervale Riesling.
