Julian Langworthy should be a household name, at least in any house I want to hang around. In recent times he has set his position as one of the Margaret River¿s super stars. In his ¿day job¿ as chief winemaker at Deep Woods Estate he has garnered innumerable awards for the wines he crafts there and a couple much sought after Wine of the Year and Winemaker of the Year gongs. There's a special bond between place and variety here that creates a style unmatched elsewhere in Australia. The partial barrel ferment of a richly flavoured mix of snow pea, citrus and passionfruit has a refreshing undercarriage of polished acidity. (95) JAMES HALLIDAY
