Terms & Conditions Agreement

  • You are responsible for the selection of all items on your Gift List and only products sold by David Jones may be included as selections on your Gift List.
  • Guest/s will be charged the price of the item current at the time of purchase. This price may differ from the applicable price when you added the item to your list. Once purchased and payment has been received in full, that item will no longer be available for purchase from the Gift List.
  • Items already purchased by guests may not be deleted from the Gift List.

  • David Jones cannot guarantee that items available upon registration will be available throughout the period of the Gift List due to seasonal variations or other factors. Please check with the relevant department when compiling your Gift List.
  • Some gifts may be available for purchase instore only.

  • In the event that any item on a Gift List is for whatever reason not available at the time of purchase a Gift Registry consultant will contact you or the relevant guest who may then:
    • Select an alternative gift
      OR
    • Accept a refund in line with the David Jones Returns Policy provided the item has been paid for
  • Lay-by is not available through the Gift Registry.

  • In the event of an occasion being postponed or cancelled for any reason, it will be your responsibility to contact the Gift Registry at David Jones so that the necessary arrangements can take place.
  • Your guests will be given the following options for a cancelled occasion:
    • A refund on the purchase made
      OR
    • Delivery to an address nominated by the guest.
  • You may elect for your gifts to be wrapped and delivered by courier to your nominated address on a specified date. Alternatively, your guests may take their purchase with them.
  • Guests who choose to use the Gift Registry service for delivery will pay a $15 gift service fee, applicable at time of purchase.
  • Deliveries are made Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
  • A David Jones Registry Consultant will contact you to provide a delivery window.
  • We ask that you ensure someone is at the delivery address to accept the parcels. A fee may apply for re-delivery.
  • Minimum 7 days’ notice is required when you specify, or change, your delivery date.
  • Purchases made after the ‘delivery cut-off date’, which is 7 days prior to the nominated delivery date, cannot be delivered and must be taken by the guest.
  • Warehouse deliveries, such as large appliances, white goods and furniture will be delivered in a separate delivery.
  • Some items may not be able to be gift wrapped in accordance with any special instructions, or cannot be gift wrapped due to their size.
  • David Jones is unable to offer international delivery.

  • Only one David Jones Celebration Card may be registered per Occasion.
  • Your David Jones Celebration Card may be used to purchase merchandise and services at any David Jones store or online at davidjones.com.
  • The David Jones Celebration Card is not a credit card and accordingly there is no credit limit assigned to the card. It is not eligible for Instant Rewards or other David Jones Credit Card promotion participation.
  • Youour card may not be used for the following:
    • Cash redemption.
    • Applied as a payment or credit to any existing David Jones branded or other credit card account.
  • All card/s issued (including supplementary cards) will provide access to the amount of balance available.
  • No change will be given when you use the David Jones Celebration Card to make purchases, and any balance that remains on the card can only be used in whole or part against future purchases in David Jones stores or online at davidjones.com.
  • No monthly statement of purchases will be issued, however, using your PIN, you can gain access to your account transactions and balance online at davidjones.com or by calling 1300 301 906 during business hours.
  • You will receive your David Jones Celebration Card within 10 business days from your occasion date.
  • Your delivery address must be within Australia.
  • Any guest contributions received after the cut-off date (7 days prior to delivery date) will be topped up to the card. Top-ups will be reflected in the account transactions available online. You will be contacted by David Jones if top-ups are made to your card after the cut-off date. Accordingly, you should ensure that you keep your card for some time after it has been issued.
  • Please safeguard your David Jones Celebration Card as cardholders are responsible for loss, theft or damage. Cards may be replaced if lost, stolen or damaged for a fee of $5.00 including GST which will be deducted from the balance on the card. Please advise immediately if your card is lost, stolen or damaged on 1300 301 906.
  • David Jones is not liable for any purchases made prior to your card being reported as lost/stolen.
  • Lost or stolen supplementary cards need to be reported by the primary card holder.
  • The David Jones Celebration Card can only be cancelled if the Occasion is cancelled and David Jones has been notified prior to the cut-off date (7 days prior to the nominated delivery date).
  • If the Occasion is cancelled per the guidelines above, guests will be refunded their contribution amount.
  • Gifts may be returned or exchanged in line with the David Jones returns policy.
  • Once goods are delivered, any item that requires replacement will be replaced or exchanged with like merchandise or David Jones Gift Cards, for the amount of the purchase price. No cash refunds are available.
  • David Jones may price match an item selected by a guest in accordance with the terms of any David Jones Price Promise policy applicable at the time of purchase.
  • You acknowledge and agree that information provided to David Jones by you may be used by it and its related companies for the purpose of the Gift Registry for your occasion, and for marketing purposes.
  • The offer is available instore only and is not available for online purchases.
  • The offer is not available in conjunction with any other offer or any marked discount.
  • The offer is only available for items purchased from the departments and brands listed below:
    • 20% off Kitchenware, Dinnerware, Glassware, Silverware, Collectables, Napery, Manchester, Soft Furnishings, Luggage, Stationery, Home Decorator, Sheridan, Royal Doulton, Waterford, Wedgwood, Villeroy & Boch and Orrefors Kosta Boda.
    • 10% off Vacuums, Small Appliances, Large Appliances, Audio Visual, Furniture, Home Office, Nursery Furniture and Toys.
    • Excludes: Miele, Bang & Olufsen, Apple products, Food and Liquor and Gift Cards.
  • Exclusions may vary from time to time. Visit davidjones.com for applicable exclusions.
  • A Completion Offer Card will be issued to Registrants on or around their nominated delivery date or occasion date.
  • The Completion Offer Card will expire 3 months after it is issued.
  • The Completion Offer Card together with a copy of the current Gift List must be presented on the day of each purchase.
  • The offer is not transferable.
  • Additions to the Gift List cannot be made after the occasion date or delivery date.
  • The offer does not apply to any returned items, which were purchased from the Gift List prior to the delivery date or occasion date and returned after such date.
  • The purchase of items remaining on the available Gift List are subject to stock availability.
  • Any returns will be managed as per the David Jones Returns Policy.
