There are four convenient ways to purchase David Jones Gift Cards:

- David Jones Classic Gift Cards can be purchased at any counter in any David Jones store in Australia or New Zealand.
- David Jones Online
- Visit our website at Davidjones.com to purchase David Jones eGift Cards online for delivery via email.
- Corporate Services
- Our Corporate Services Team assists companies and organisations who would like to make bulk purchases of Gift Cards or eGift Cards for incentives, loyalty programs or rewards. For further information please contact Corporate Services on corporate.services@davidjones.com.au or visit https://www.davidjones.com/services/corporate-services to register your details. Office hours are Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.
- Third Party Retailers
- Classic Gift Cards can be purchased at selected Woolworths, Australia Post, Big W and other 3rd party retailers. Only available for purchase in Australia, in AUD currency.
It cannot be replaced if lost or stolen, or if your Gift Card is shared with an unauthorized third party.
The Australian Tax Office has reported an increased number of scammers contacting members of the public pretending to be from the ATO, Australian Federal Police or state police threatening their targets with arrest and fraudulently demanding payment of outstanding tax debts by gift card.
While these scam calls may appear to be authorised and use a fake caller ID, it is important to remember that a legitimate caller from the ATO or police will never:
- threaten you with arrest
- demand immediate payment, particularly through unusual means such as bitcoin, pre-paid credit cards or Gift Cards
- request any person to make purchases of Gift Cards using their own financial payments
- refuse to allow you to speak with a trusted advisor or your regular tax agent
- present a phone number on caller ID.
If you are contacted by anyone claiming to represent the ATO or police and requesting you purchase Gift Cards, we strongly advise you immediately discontinue the call.
David Jones Gift Cards should not be shared online in any way. We advise that you do not post pictures of your Gift Cards online, even when the pin is not exposed, and remind you that re-selling Gift Cards is against our Terms and Conditions. We also advise against buying from or on behalf of any unauthorized third parties, or sharing the details or images over any online messaging services.
- Instore
- David Jones Gift Cards can be purchased for any nominated amount between $5 and $1,000.
- Online
- David Jones eGift Cards are available to purchase in any denomination between $5 and $500 in either AUD or NZD and are sent via email.
- Corporate Services
- David Jones Classic Gift Cards can be purchased through Corporate Services and delivered via secure courier. Classic Gift Cards can be loaded with any nominated amount between $5 and $4,999 in AUD or NZD. eGift Cards can be purchased for any nominated value between $5 and $4,999 and are sent via email to one address or sent direct to multiple recipients.
- Third Party
- 3rdParty retailer Gift Cards can be purchased in set denominations of $50 and $100 and activation takes 48 hours from time of purchase. Only available for purchase in Australia, in AUD currency.
David Jones is always looking for ways to enhance the experience for our customers and it is with that in mind that we have made the decision to remove the David Jones Classic Gift Card from sale online. Instead, you will have the faster, more efficient option of a David Jones eGift Card, which can be delivered straight into your, or your chosen recipients, inbox. This will significantly reduce the time it takes to receive your Gift Card and there is no delivery fee for this option. This approach is also in line with our Good Business Journey and our commitment to reducing packaging and our environmental footprint.
If you are purchasing a Gift Card on behalf of someone else, our eGift Card gives you the option of adding in a unique message for your recipient. You are also able to opt to send this straight to the recipient’s inbox and choose the day that you would like it to be delivered.
Australian Gift Cards in AUD can be used to shop in Australian David Jones stores and online at Davidjones.com
New Zealand Gift Cards in NZD can be used to shop in New Zealand at David Jones Newmarket.
Gift Cards are unable to be used to make payment over the phone, in addition you will need to present the physical Gift Card or your eGift Card in store when making payment.
David Jones Australian Classic and eGift Cards expire 36 months from the date of purchase. David Jones New Zealand Classic and eGift Cards expire 24 months from the date of purchase. Promotional and David Jones Rewards Gift Cards expire one month after the date of issue. Returns Gift Cards expire 24 months from the date of issue.
Your balance is included in your proof of purchase every time you use your Gift Card. If you are in store, you can check your gift card balance at any register within the country of issue. If you’re shopping with your AUD Gift Card online, your balance will be verified when you enter your Gift Card number and PIN during checkout. Once your online order is complete, the order confirmation screen will show the remaining balance of your Gift Card.

Yes, you can use up to 5 cards; any combination of David Jones Gift Cards, Celebration Cards and Insurance Cards. You will have the option to split payment by using a Credit Card to pay any outstanding amount on the order. Online purchases using David Jones Gift Cards, Insurance Cards or Celebration Cards can only be made in AUD. Please note David Jones Gift Cards cannot be used in conjunction with Afterpay, PayPal, Alipay, Click to Pay or Apple Pay.
You can choose how much you want to use from your Gift Card, Insurance Card or Celebration Card when you are shopping instore. Please let the team member know before they process your transaction. When shopping online the total balance of your Gift Card will applied to the order purchase and will be deducted from your Gift Card.
You’ll only need to use a PIN to shop with your Celebration or Insurance Card online. Please contact David Jones Corporate Services at corporate.services@davidjones.com.au if you have forgotten your Insurance Card or Celebration Card PIN. For Gift Cards, the PIN is on the back of the card. If you have a Gift Card without a PIN, you can shop with it in store.

No, Gift Cards are non-refundable.
