Having chalked up countless hours in the make-up chair, model Jessica Gomes understands the importance of natural beauty.

Simple. Hydrating. Clean. These three words form the basis of Jessica’s personal skincare mantra. It’s a surprisingly uncomplicated approach, but given the 34 year old (with 24 years modelling experience under her belt) is known for her luminous, healthy complexion, it probably pays to heed her advice.

It’s not surprising that Jessica applies the same straightforward mantra to her own skincare line, Equal Beauty. With a focus on hydration and protection, the five-piece range, which launched in 2017, is formulated for all skin types, genders and races. What seems like an intentionally democratic approach is, for Jessica, just common sense: “The skin is the body’s biggest organ. It’s the essence of a person and what reflects their inner health.”

Jessica Gomes is optimistic about her future (“I’d love to have my own family”) but on the beauty front, expect her to maintain the same low-key attitude for years to come. Ageing, she says, is about embracing, “your journey as a human being … you can tell stories through your face as you get older. Ageing gracefully is a beautiful thing.”
